English Premier League Guardiola predicts what will happen at Man Utd under Ratcliffe

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, expressed his expectations on Friday regarding Manchester United making progress under new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Guardiola, however, stated that he is not concerned about Ratcliffe’s comments regarding wanting to dethrone City from their top position.

Confirming Ratcliffe’s stake in Manchester United on Tuesday, the 71-year-old businessman has been vocal about his aspirations for the club.

Despite this, Guardiola remains unfazed and told reporters, “I think I am pretty sure with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the other people, Manchester United are going to make a step forward.”

He continued, “I had the feeling they know exactly what they have to do, appointing people they need. With his experience in the business world, it can make the project better. But that is normal. All the teams want it [to be at the top] and we want to be there. As long as I am here, we will try to be there again.” Guardiola’s comments reflect his confidence in the competition and his commitment to maintaining Manchester City’s standing at the top.
